John Mulaney Eyes February Return for Netflix Talk Show

New details are emerging about John Mulaney‘s Netflix talk show return.

In October, it was announced that Mulaney—building on the success of his week-long talk show experiment Everybody’s in L.A. this past May—will be hosting a new live weekly talk show for Netflix sometime in 2025.

In a GQ profile of Mulaney published Tuesday, it was revealed that 12 episodes of the new talk show are scheduled to be released on Netflix beginning in late February 2025.

It remains unclear whether Mulaney’s upcoming show is meant to be an outright continuation of Everybody’s in L.A. or if it will take a different form.

“I’m really excited about it,” Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria said of the project at Bloomberg Screentime in Los Angeles in October. “During Netflix is a Joke Festival, [Mulaney] did a live talk show called Everybody’s in L.A., and I was there at a couple of the tapings, and it was just so bold and original and fresh and then unpredictable. And I think it’ll be really fun to get to do a live show with him.”

Mulaney has previously stated that he liked the idea of Everybody’s in L.A. having a firm end date. “I wanted everyone to go make what they wanted and I will put it on. We can’t get renewed. We should actually be a variety show,” he told Deadline in June. “I liked that it was an assignment and that it had a start date and an end date like a summer job. I really liked the idea that you can make it whatever you want.”

In the meantime, Mulaney—who just hosted SNL for the sixth time—is keeping plenty busy. Starting next month, he’ll make a five-week return to Broadway, where he’ll be starring in his friend and former SNL colleague Simon Rich’s new play, All In: Comedy About Love. He’s also set to guest star in Season 2 of Peacock’s Poker Face, and he just booked a role in the upcoming film Lunik Heist.
