Jimmy Fallon Wants You Wearing His Cozy ‘P’Jimmies’ This Holiday Season

Jimmy Fallon‘s bringing back something good from the pandemic era.

The Tonight Show host announced the revival of his pajama line, P’Jimmies, on Tuesday’s show. It’s a collaboration with New York clothing brand Alex Mill, founded by the son of the founder of Old Navy and Madewell.

Fallon first introduced P’Jimmies four years ago this month. He explained at the time that, with everyone spending their time at home due to COVID-19, he wanted pajamas with lots of pockets designed to wear all day.

That original limited-edition run sold out immediately, Fallon said on Tuesday’s show.

Fallon, of course, is no stranger to product partnerships, with recent deals including a SiriusXM holiday radio station and a gingersnap cocoa blend with the Spice House.

The late-night star displayed the new P’Jimmies collection on his show, going beyond the original striped pajamas this time. The new version also includes socks, camping mugs, sweatshirts, sleep masks, and a blanket tote that Fallon showed off in action.

Throwing the tote on his shoulder, he acted out walking around and running into a tired friend. The reveal: that tote unfolds into a full-size blanket, allowing for a portable nap situation.

Fallon unfolded the blanket in front of his desk and mocked snoozing as snore sound effects played.

The revival’s bringing back something else from the 2020 P’Jimmies, too—charitable donations. While all of the net profits in 2020 went to Feeding America, Fallon shared that this time, a portion of the proceeds will still be given to charity.

The charity of choice is SeriousFun Children’s Network. It’s a worldwide network of free camps and programs for children with life-altering medical conditions.

Fallon also promoted the new P’Jimmies with a game of “Pajama Password” on the show. Segment host Steve Higgins and the contestants were all bedecked in the pajama collection.

The teams were Keke Palmer and Fallon on one side, with the Roots‘ Tariq Trotter and William Zabka of Cobra Kai on the other team. Palmer is the regular host of the game’s primetime revival on NBC, executive-produced by Fallon.

Tuesday’s packed show was bookended by P’Jimmies, with Fallon’s interview with Alex Mill chairman Mickey Drexler slotted just ahead of the musical guest. The 80-year-old Dexler shared that he’d dreamed about being a guest on The Tonight Show for 30 years, finally accomplishing his dream via this partnership.

Fallon hyped up Drexler’s impressive fashion industry career, including working with brands such as J. Crew, the Gap, Ann Taylor, and creating Old Navy.

The host shared that he first met Drexler when he went to his J. Crew office to pitch an iPhone case that looked like a pocket square. That collaboration raised money for the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and its elephant conservation efforts.

Fallon had returned to make another pitch to Drexler, which the clothier described as “some fakakta idea.” Rather than embracing Fallon’s new pitch, Drexler said that he told Jimmy he should do pajamas again.

The late-night host also promoted his latest P’Jimmies in a photo shoot exclusive for People. Former late-night host Carson Daly also joined his colleagues in promoting the P’Jimmies on Wednesday’s Today show, passing around a set of the pajamas for each of his co-hosts.

Trying to explain how he books so many side projects, Fallon told People, “It just kind of weirdly just happens.”

The new pajamas are available at AlexMill.com and in Alex Mill stores, including a new location in Rockefeller Center right by NBC and The Tonight Show‘s 30 Rock home.
