Jimmy Fallon Gets His Own SiriusXM Holiday Channel

Late night’s biggest holiday music booster will be programming his own holiday music station this year.

SiriusXM announced Monday that Jimmy Fallon is bringing his act to satellite radio this holiday season. Debuting this Friday November 1st, Jimmy Fallon’s Holiday Seasoning Radio channel will feature a collection of Fallon-approved holiday classics, funny stories and behind-the-scenes material from the Tonight Show host’s new holiday album, Holiday Seasoning.

According to SiriusXM, the station will also air a “Jimmy Fallon’s 12 Days of Christmas” special consisting of a dozen curated genre-specific playlists from yacht rock to country, and a Thanksgiving dinner special hosted by Fallon.

Fallon revealed the news himself while guesting with SiriusXM’s Howard Stern Monday, telling Stern that the station will be built around his personal 150-song holiday music Spotify playlist. Asked what kind of songs listeners could expect, Fallon replied “Good ones, odd ones, ones that [make] you go ‘oh yeah!'”

The late-night added that he’s been recording stories and other content for the channel after taping The Tonight Show over the last month.

Fallon’s love of the holidays is well documented. The host pulls out all the stops for the season with various holiday bits on The Tonight Show, and did the same on Late Night and Saturday Night Live. Together with Chris Kattan, Tracy Morgan, and Horatio Sanz, Fallon made it a tradition over several years to perform the original Christmas song he co-wrote with Sanz, “I Wish It Was Christmas Today.”

Today’s announcement comes on the heels of last week’s reveal that Fallon will be hosting a star-studded primetime holiday special on NBC.

Jimmy Fallon’s Holiday Seasoning Radio makes its debut on SiriusXM Channel 17 this Friday November 1st, which also happens to be the release date for his Holiday Seasoning album.
