SNL’s Jane Wickline Plans Off-Broadway Summer Run

Jane Wickline will be spending some of Saturday Night Live‘s summertime hiatus Off-Broadway.

Wickline, who just wrapped her second season with NBC’s long-running sketch comedy series, announced on Thursday that Dukes, the two-person show she does with comedian Liva Pierce, will take temporary residence at the SoHo Playhouse in NYC.

Performances run July 8 through August 2; tickets are available at this link.

Directed by Sio Hornbuckle and Mabel Lewis, Dukes is described thusly: “Two friends and one piano. One dream and two fools. Two geniuses and one huge mistake. Dukes is a two-person musical comedy show about desire, lust, and dreams.”

The 26-year-old Wickline joined the SNL cast as a featured player at the beginning of Season 50. Known at first for her solo musical appearances on “Weekend Update,” she has since made her mark in other ways, starting with her and Veronika Slowikowska’s musical pretape, “Cousin Planet,” which aired during the Dec. 6 episode hosted by Melissa McCarthy. That was followed by “Winter Olympics Promo,” which aired during Alexander Skarsgård’s January 31 episode and cast Wickline as terrified luger Gertie Burper.

She also is one half of the recurring “Update” duo “Grant and Alyssa, the Couple You Can’t Believe Are Together.”

Liva Pierce first burst on the comedy scene with a series of viral videos when they were in college at University of Chicago. After training at The Second City and now based in New York, they’re a regular on the alternative comedy circuit, where they perform solo and in two comedy troupes: Dukes, and the fundraising ensemble No More Stupid.

Wickline and Pierce have been performing shows together since 2023.
