Kam Patterson isn’t letting his first year on Saturday Night Live pull him away from his booming stand-up career.
The SNL featured player has revealed a long list of tour dates that will keep him performing stand-up through the middle of next year.
Dubbed the “Dreams in Motion Tour,” Patterson has scheduled 44 dates around the country. He’ll visit 16 cities from January through June during weeks off from SNL, offering three-night stints in most cities.
Patterson has maintained a steady pace of stand-up gigs since joining SNL in September—in fact, he has stops in four more cities scheduled this year before the Dreams in Motion Tour even begins.
It’s not uncommon for SNL players to tour their stand-up on off-weeks during the season, but it’s an impressive feat for a performer who is just weeks into the sketch show’s notoriously grueling schedule.
While he only began performing in 2021, the comic saw a meteoric rise as he became a regular face on the uber-popular Kill Tony podcast. (It’s rare that an SNL featured player can say they’ve played Madison Square Garden.)
Patterson referenced his stand-up following in his first-ever SNL episode, appearing at the Weekend Update desk to riff on how frequently he uses a slur not suitable for air in his act.
