Have a Question for Stephen and Evie Colbert? The Late Show Wants You.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is set to launch a new regular feature, and you could be a part of it.

The new segment will see Stephen and Evie McGee Colbert answer questions from viewers—and they’re giving the whole concept a bit of an old-school touch.

“We’ve recently thought of a new way for us to do something together on the show,” Colbert told viewers at the end of his wife’s most recent appearance on the show for their franchise piece “First Drafts.” “Something we’ve never done before on the show in any way.”

However, submitting your burning questions for the couple won’t be quite as simple as just typing them up. As Colbert explained, submitters will have to handwrite their letter on paper, take a photo of it, and upload it to a Google Form

McGee Colbert has become a monthly presence on the show thanks to her regular appearances on “First Drafts,” in which Colbert and his wife read the scrapped first drafts of greeting cards.

While that segment used to pair the host up with guests, his wife eventually became his First Drafts counterpart. McGee Colbert first began participating on The Late Show during its pandemic-era at-home episodes, serving as her husband’s sidekick of sorts (in addition to helping him with the technical aspects of producing a show from your home without any crew members onsite).

McGee Colbert, who is an executive producer on The Late Show, also recently co-authored the new cookbook, Does This Taste Funny?, with her husband. The couple has done live events and joint TV interviews for the book in recent months.

But lest you think the Colberts are comfortable enough to tackle any subject publicly, be forewarned.

“Some of your questions, we will not read on air,” Colbert told viewers. “And you know which ones we won’t.”
