Everybody’s Live Ups Two Writers, Adds Two Others

John Mulaney’s talk show set and format for Everybody’s Live weren’t the other things that carried over from Everybody’s in L.A. The comic brought back the earlier show’s entire staff of eight writers, promoting two and bringing in two others.

David Ferguson, Langston Kerman, Jeremy Levick, Alex Scordelis, and Rajat Suresh are all back at the helm for the new run of shows. As is usually the case in late-night, Mulaney himself is also a credited writer.

Meanwhile, writers Anna Drezen and Fran Gillespie have been elevated to writing supervisors. Like Mulaney, both are alums of Saturday Night Live

Drezen wrote for SNL from 2016-2021, during which time she was promoted to writing supervisor, then head writer. Gillespie joined as a writer in 2015. She was upped to writing supervisor two years later, and departed SNL in 2021.

Last night’s premiere introduced two more to Mulaney’s writers room: Jess Dweck and Vanessa Ramos.

Dweck has worked as a co-executive producer on Big Mouth—the animated Netflix series starring Mulaney—as well as Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Her late-night credits include writing for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and The Break with Michelle Wolf.

Ramos most recently created the Netflix comedy series Blockbuster. She has written and produced for shows like Big Mouth, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Kenan, Mr. Mayor, and the original version of late-night panel show @midnight.

Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney returns next Wednesday, March 19, at 10 PM ET/7 PM PT.
