Just one week ago, after a seemingly out-of-nowhere segue, After Midnight host Taylor Tomlinson made an on-air joke about how most people only watch her show “in clips.” Clearly, someone was listening.
Perhaps it’s just a coincidence, but on Tuesday, the official After Midnight YouTube channel began posting full episodes of the late-night panel comedy game show. As of Wednesday morning, there are only a total of three full episodes on the channel—though how they were chosen is not entirely clear.
The oldest episode posted, which originally aired on September 9 (then re-aired on October 8), features Wayne Brady, Skylar Astin, and Mary Holland as panelists. The most recent episode is from October 3, with guests Matt Rogers, Brendan Scannell, and Greta Titelman. There’s also a September 25 edition with Pete Holmes, Jess McKenna, and Echo Kellum.
For After Midnight fans who do prefer to watch the show in clips—which makes sense, given its unique structure and perfectly bite-sized games like “Who’s Your Zaddy?”—those have not gone away. Each night, the show generally posts six clips from each episode, including Tomlinson’s monologue (which was added partway through the show’s first season).
After Midnight is a reboot of @midnight, a late-night show hosted by Chris Hardwick, which aired on Comedy Central from 2013 to 2017. It airs on CBS at 12:37 a.m. ET, right after The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, in the space formerly occupied by The Late Late Show with James Corden. Colbert is also one of the show’s executive producers.
