SNL Screen Time Report: Mikey Madison and Morgan Wallen (S50 E15)

This weekend, Mikey Madison became the second actress to host Saturday Night Live less than one month after winning an Oscar. (The first was Geena Davis in 1989.) The Anora star accumulated just over 17 minutes of screen time in the March 29 episode, which is the third lowest amount for a Season 50 host so far.

Scroll down to see how Madison stacked up against each of the show’s named performers, including musical guest Morgan Wallen and surprise guest Joe Jonas.

Note: Our screen time calculation method has been developed in partnership with longtime SNL statistician Mike Murray, host of the Saturday Night Network’s weekly By The Numbers podcast. We prioritize face time, meaning that any contiguous (off-screen but in-scene) moments and practically all partial body appearances do not count. Screen time in the opening credits, bumpers, goodnights and cut-for-time sketches are not included, nor do those portions factor into our assessment of the episode’s total running time.

Mikey Madison Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Mikey Madison – 17:08 / 27.40%

Madison, who turned 26 just four days before making her SNL debut, appeared in all but two of the episode’s 14 segments. After following Martin Short as the second Season 50 host to participate in a cold open, she gave her longest performance of the night in “Barry the Midwife,” a sequel to a Season 48 sketch that starred Quinta Brunson.

Marcello Hernandez Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Marcello Hernandez – 10:20 / 16.52%

With prominent parts in five sketches, Marcello Hernandez clocked in above each of his castmates for the second episode in a row and broke his personal single-episode screen time record. He spent the largest portion (41%) of his screen time this week reprising his role as Theodore Strop in “Acting Teacher 2.”

Bowen Yang Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Bowen Yang – 7:41 / 12.29%

Two months after he fell behind Sarah Sherman, Bowen Yang has reclaimed his spot at the top of this season’s cumulative screen time ranking. More than one-third of his March 29 time came from his portrayal of Barry the Midwife, while the rest was spread over five other sketches.

Andrew Dismukes Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Andrew Dismukes – 6:51 / 10.95%

With five episodes left until SNL’s summer break, Andrew Dismukes is only three minutes away from earning more screen time in Season 50 than he did in Season 49. In his fourth cold open appearance of 2025, he debuted an impression of Pete Hegseth alongside Yang’s JD Vance and Hernandez’s Marco Rubio.

Colin Jost Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Colin Jost – 6:32 / 10.45%

This was the third consecutive episode (and sixth this season) in which Colin Jost appeared for at least six and a half minutes. At 14 minutes and 15 seconds, the March 29 “Weekend Update” segment was the third longest of Season 50 so far, behind the September 28 and October 19 editions.

Chloe Fineman Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Chloe Fineman – 5:53 / 9.41%

Chloe Fineman spent more time on screen this week than she has in any single episode since April 13, 2024. Nonetheless, her current screen time total for the season is at least 30 minutes lower than each of the show’s other female repertory players.

Morgan Wallen Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Morgan Wallen – 5:47 / 9.25%

When it comes to Season 50 musical guests, Morgan Wallen’s screen time is the lowest so far by a margin of 34 seconds. The previous record was set by Mk.gee on November 9.

Ashley Padilla Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Ashley Padilla – 5:29 / 8.77%

One of Ashley Padilla’s strongest episodes to date included a three-and-a-half-minute interview with Jost as Joann from Joann Fabrics. This was her first-ever “Weekend Update” appearance, leaving Fineman the sole current cast member who has yet to visit the news desk this season.

Ego Nwodim Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Ego Nwodim – 5:08 / 8.21%

Ego Nwodim gave her longest performance of the week in the live sketch “Jury Duty,” which incorporated every current cast member except the “Weekend Update” co-anchors. She was seen in four other sketches for less than 70 seconds each, including “Barry the Midwife” in which she reprised her Season 48 role as a delivery room nurse.

Devon Walker Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Devon Walker – 4:41 / 7.49%

Devon Walker made his second “Weekend Update” appearance of the season this week, and his first as himself since October 2022. Though he remains this season’s least utilized repertory player, he now ranks a full minute ahead of Jane Wickline among all Season 50 cast members.

Michael Che Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Michael Che – 4:15 / 6.80%

This was the ninth episode this season in which Colin Jost’s screen time was at least two minutes higher than Michael Che’s. As of this week, each “Weekend Update” anchor boasts more than one hour of Season 50 screen time, as do eight of their other 15 castmates.

James Austin Johnson Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

James Austin Johnson – 3:29 / 5.57%

This week’s cold open was the first since December 21, 2024 to not include a performance from James Austin Johnson as Donald Trump. He made physical appearances in three post-monologue sketches, earning the vast majority (81%) of his screen time in “Pop’s Big Regret.”

Sarah Sherman Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Sarah Sherman – 2:59 / 4.77%

Though she is no longer this season’s most prominent performer, Sherman still has at least 12 more minutes of cumulative screen time than any of her female castmates. With this episode, she follows Yang and Jost as the third regular to pass the 90-minute mark this season, which is especially impressive considering that she only reached 85 minutes over the entirety of last season.

Michael Longfellow Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Michael Longfellow – 1:58 / 3.14%

Michael Longfellow appeared in three of this week’s sketches, including two that featured just one additional performer. He spent about one-third of his time voicing an animated character in “Planning New York,” which makes him the only cast member to take part in both of the “SNL Animated Shorts” that have aired this season.

Jane Wickline Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Jane Wickline – 1:53 / 3.01%

This week saw both Wickline and Walker join the remainder of their castmates in reaching Season 50 screen time totals of at least 30 minutes. While that may not sound like much, she’s already surpassed Molly Kearney’s Season 49 total of 23:52.

Mikey Day Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Mikey Day – 1:48 / 2.88%

Mikey Day initially showed up in this episode as Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg, bringing the total number of real people he’s portrayed in Season 50 cold opens to four. He was then seen three more times throughout the night, with his largest role being that of an erratic partygoer in “Spring Break.”

Kenan Thompson Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Kenan Thompson – 1:05 / 1.73%

This was the 10th episode this season in which Kenan Thompson showed up in two or fewer sketches. In this case, he delivered performances of almost equal length in “Jury Duty” and “Spring Break.”

Ben Marshall Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Ben Marshall – 0:55 / 1.47%

Despite racking up more screen time than either of his partners in both of the latest two Please Don’t Destroy pretapes, Ben Marshall still ranks below them in terms of cumulative Season 50 time. This is primarily due to the fact that his performance in their first sketch of the season, October 19’s “Skydiving,” was the shortest by a margin of 37 seconds.

John Higgins Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

John Higgins – 0:48 / 1.28%

Please Don’t Destroy’s fourth aired short of the season, “Mikey Madison is Squidward,” served as a spiritual sequel to last season’s “Bad Bunny is Shrek,” complete with a two-second archival cameo from the rapper.

Martin Herlihy Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Martin Herlihy – 0:41 / 1.09%

“Mikey Madison is Squidward” was the first Please Don’t Destroy sketch since last March’s “Gone Too Soon” in which each member of the trio was on screen for less than one minute. Appearing as a SpongeBob Squarepants-obsessed version of herself, Madison outpaced the entire group by at least 30 seconds.

Emil Wakim Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Emil Wakim – 0:26 / 0.69%

This was Emil Wakim’s third weakest episode to date. Like Thompson, he only showed up in “Jury Duty” and “Spring Break.”

Heidi Gardner Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Heidi Gardner – 0:25 / 0.67%

Heidi Gardner’s unusually low amount of screen time in this episode brings her from fourth to sixth place on this season’s cumulative list, with both Dismukes and Nwodim having just passed her.

Joe Jonas Saturday Night Live season 50 episode 15

Joe Jonas – 0:24 / 0.64%

The second eldest Jonas brother made a musical cameo in “Big Dumb Line.” He was last seen on SNL in April 2023, when he and his siblings served as musical guests (and appeared in one live sketch) with host Molly Shannon.

Season 50 of SNL continues next week with host Jack Black and musical guests Elton John and Brandi Carlile.
