This week’s late night guest list is looking rather sparkly, with several of Sunday’s Golden Globe winners previously and almost presciently booked to make the rounds.
Not only will the guests noted below get a chance to do a Golden Globes victory lap, but their appearances coincide with voting windows opening for Academy Award nominations (to be announced January 22) and Screen Actors Guild Actor Award winners (to be crowned in a March 1 ceremony).
One Battle After Another‘s Teyana Taylor—the first to grab gold on Sunday night, for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in Motion Picture—will be a guest on Wednesday’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, as well as perform on the NBC program with Lucky Daye.
One Battle After Another was the Globes’ big winner on the film side, coming out on top in four total categories. Relatedly, Taylor’s on-screen daughter, Chase Infiniti, will guest on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! that same Wednesday night.
Taylor is also in queue to host NBC’s Saturday Night Live on January 24 (with musical guest Geese).
Hamnet‘s Jessie Buckley, who won Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama), will be a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this Thursday. Earlier this FYC season, Buckley paid a December visit to CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Stellan Skarsgård, named Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for Sentimental Value, will be a guest on Thursday’s The Late Show—marking his first late-night appearance on behalf of the acclaimed indie.
Wagner Moura, whose role in The Secret Agent earned him Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama), is swinging by Comedy Central’s The Daily Show on Thursday. He previously visited NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers on January 5.
Sinners claimed a pair of Golden Globe wins, for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, and Original Score. Michael B. Jordan, who fills a dual role in the vampire thriller, will be a guest on tonight’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, while writer/director Ryan Coogler is set to appear on Wednesday’s The Late Show.
On the TV side, Noah Wyle—named Best Actor in a Television Series (Drama) for The Pitt Season 1—will visit Jimmy Kimmel Live! this Tuesday, on the heels of the acclaimed HBO Max drama launching its sophomore run.
For film stars, doing the late night circuit is a savvy way to get their face out there and keep their film in the For Your Consideration conversation—especially if voting windows are open, or to preemptively head off a win (…or loss).
Among other newly minted Globes winners, Erin Doherty (Adolescence) had been a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last Monday. Last Thursday, Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You) was a guest on The Tonight Show, and EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami—singers of KPop Demon Hunters‘ “Golden”—appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live. (The trio previously KPopped by The Tonight Show in October.) And Timothée Chalamet (Marty Supreme) was a December guest on The Tonight Show, where he was flanked by anthropomorphized ping-pong balls.
