Late Night This Week: Who’s On and Who’s Gone

After several weeks of relative quiet, late night is beginning to look a little more like itself, with two NBC shows returning from extended breaks and nearly all of broadcast late night producing new episodes.

Here’s who’s on the week of July 13, who’s off, and who’s operating under summer rules:

Jimmy Kimmel Live!

On, with guest host Ike Barinholtz. Jimmy Kimmel remains on his annual summer vacation, with Barinholtz taking over as Jimmy Kimmel Live!’s second guest host of the summer. Barinholtz kicks off his week Monday with a mini-Mindy Project reunion featuring Mindy Kaling and Fortune Feimster. Joel McHale and Ben Marshall visit Tuesday, Seth Rogen and musical guest Willow appear Wednesday, and Thursday brings Regina Hall, Ike’s brother Jon Barinholtz and father Alan Barinholtz, and musical guest Jeff Tweedy.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

On. After a two-week break, Jimmy Fallon and company are back with an Odyssey-themed week of new episodes. The Tonight Show welcomes Tom Holland, Mary Steenburgen, and Sienna Spiro on Monday, followed by Matt Damon and Anthony Michael Hall on Tuesday, Zendaya and Chrissy Metz on Wednesday, and Will Ferrell, Lupita Nyong’o, and musical guest Gracie Abrams on Thursday.

Comics Unleashed

Gone. Both installments of Comics Unleashed airing in the first half of CBS’ late-night block are repeats this week. Among the comics turning up in the encore installments are Omid Singh, Melanie Iglesias, Affion Crockett, Paul Virzi, Heather Shaw, Bruce Bruce, Noah Gardenswartz, Sydney Castillo, and Ryan Reiss.

Funny You Should Ask

Gone. The second hour of Byron Allen’s CBS late-night block also remains in repeats, with Funny You Should Ask continuing to air episodes that have previously run in syndication.

Late Night with Seth Meyers

On. Seth Meyers returns from a three-week break with four new episodes of Late Night. Anne Hathaway and Alan Ritchson lead off the week Monday, followed by Molly Shannon and Jake Johnson on Tuesday, Jon Bernthal and Stephanie Hsu on Wednesday, and Matt Damon on Thursday.

Nightline

On. ABC’s late-night newsmagazine is scheduled to continue airing new episodes this week.

The Daily Show

On. After sitting out Monday last week, The Daily Show is slated to return with a full four nights of new episodes on Comedy Central.

Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen

On. Andy Cohen is back in the Bravo clubhouse with four new editions of Watch What Happens Live. Kayley Smith and Joy Lefaucheur visit Monday, Whitney Fransway and Kenny Martin appear Tuesday, Jennifer Garner and John Slattery stop by Wednesday, and Molly Shannon and Tamra Judge close out the week Thursday.

Gutfeld!

On. No summer break here. As with most cable news shows, Greg Gutfeld’s Gutfeld! typically continues with new episodes throughout the summer, using guest hosts when needed.

FIFA World Cup on FOX After Hours with James Corden

On, for the last time. The final whistle is approaching for James Corden’s World Cup-adjacent return to late night. FIFA World Cup on FOX After Hours with James Corden closes out its limited run with four new episodes airing Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Real Time with Bill Maher

Gone. Bill Maher remains on summer break, with Real Time off again this week. HBO currently has the series slated to return with a new episode July 31.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver

Gone. John Oliver is still on summer break, with Last Week Tonight scheduled to return with a new episode July 26.

Saturday Night Live

Gone. No change here: Saturday Night Live remains on summer hiatus after closing out Season 51 in May. The show is expected to kick off Season 52 on September 26, 2026.
