Here we go again. Apparently not content with his ongoing feud with Jimmy Kimmel, Donald Trump added two more Late Nighters to his enemies list this weekend.
Trump took to Truth Social with his take on the latest episode of Real Time with Bill Maher, which featured an interview with third-party presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. While the post was mostly aimed at RFK Jr., Trump made sure to get a couple barbs in at Maher first.
“I actually watched, first time in a long time, ratings challenged Bill Maher’s really boring interview with RFK Jr. last night,” Trump wrote in a Sunday morning post.
Despite Trump’s claims to the contrary, in fact Maher’s program recently doubled its audience when CNN began rebroadcasting the Friday night HBO show Saturday nights in prime time (given the timing, it would appear Trump watched this weekend’s CNN repeat himself).
Trump’s Maher post came less than eight hours after he disparaged SNL Weekend Update host Colin Jost, who headlined Saturday night’s White House Correspondents Dinner . “The White House Correspondents’ Dinner was really bad,” Trump wrote. “Colin Jost BOMBED, and Crooked Joe was an absolute disaster! Doesn’t get much worse than this!
Unsurprisingly, Jost made several pointed jabs at Trump in his WHCD set, referencing both the absurdity of another Trump candidacy and his ongoing criminal trial. “The Republican candidate for president owes half a billion in fines for bank fraud and is currently spending his days farting himself awake during a porn star hush money trial,” Jost opined. “And the race is tied?”
For those not keeping track, that makes three late-night TV personalities that have earned Trump’s ire this month.
Earlier this month, Trump posted a puzzling rant to social media in which he criticized Kimmel for an Oscars ratings drop that didn’t happen and a Best Picture presentation that he didn’t actually give. Kimmel responded with a blistering rebuttal in which he fact-checked the president’s post line by line.
