Taylor Tomlinson to Release First Book, Actually, Nevermind

Previously the only network late-night host without a book deal, Taylor Tomlinson has signed with Gallery Books, a division of Simon & Schuster.

Tomlinson’s literary debut will be a collection of autobiographical essays titled Actually, Nevermind

“I have always wanted to write a book,” Tomlinson said in a statement. “I want to explore all the topics I’ve changed my mind about—both the serious and the ridiculous—that will no doubt make me look like the self-aware (and occasionally wise) idiot that I am. None of us are set in stone and I hope this book will remind people that we can change our opinions at any time (except about ‘morning people,’ I will die on that hill).”

The audio version of the book will be read by Tomlinson herself.

“We are delighted to publish Taylor Tomlinson,” said Jennifer Bergstrom, Senior Vice President and Publisher of Gallery Books. “She is a once-in-a-generation talent who will bring her natural storytelling gifts and incisive wit to the page.”

Tomlinson is certainly keeping busy. She’s released three standup specials in just four years, all for Netflix. Her most recent, Have It All, debuted on the streamer in February.

Last year, she was named the host of After Midnight, a replacement for CBS’ 12:30 a.m. slot previously devoted to The Late Late Show franchise. The pseudo-game show—a revival of Comedy Central’s @midnight, premiered in January.

On top of all that, she’s on the road most weekends with her “Save Me” comedy tour, which she says is her most personal yet, tackling faith and sexuality.
