Saturday Night Live UK’s newest cast member is still finding his way—fortunately, Jeff Goldblum is there to help.
A new teaser for this weekend’s Series 2 premiere pairs Freddie Meredith with Goldblum on the show’s home base set, where the newcomer attempts to show Saturday’s host around despite still getting acquainted with the place himself.
Goldblum eventually offers Meredith a little advice for settling his nerves—advice that Meredith may take a bit too literally.
Meredith was announced Monday as the lone new addition to SNL UK’s ensemble for Series 2. All 11 members of the show’s inaugural cast are returning.
Goldblum will host Saturday’s premiere, which kicks off an expanded 12-episode second series, up from eight episodes in the show’s first year.
The first six episodes will air this fall, with the remaining six planned for early 2027. Jamie Demetriou and Amelia Dimoldenberg have already been announced as hosts for the September 19 and September 26 episodes, respectively.
SNL UK airs live Saturday, September 12 at 10 p.m. UK time on Sky and NOW, with the episode streaming stateside on Peacock beginning Sunday.
