SNL’s Devon Walker Is Bringing His Stand-Up to Las Vegas For New Kevin Hart Special

Saturday Night Live star Devon Walker will appear in a new stand-up special being taped this Tuesday in Las Vegas.

The special is being produced by Kevin Hart through his entertainment company, Hartbeat. No word yet on where it will be distributed, but Hartbeat has a first look deal with Peacock, so it could end up on the NBC streamer alongside SNL.

Hart also has a streaming comedy channel of his own, The LOL Network, and a dedicated channel on SiriusXM, LOL Radio.

Walker, who joined Saturday Night Live in 2022 as a featured player, is no stranger to the stand-up stage. He first performed at an open mike in 2014 while earning his master’s degree in organizational leadership from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. In 2017, Comedy Central chose him for their Up Next showcase, and in 2019, he had his own special on Comedy Central Stand-Up Featuring.

The SNL star has been criss crossing the U.S. this summer, performing standup both solo and as part of the “Summer Jobs” tour, alongside fellow cast members James Austin Johnson and Andrew Dismukes.

Coincidentally, another SNL player will also be taping a show the same night as Walker, albeit 2500 miles away. As LateNighter reported last week, “Weekend Update” co-anchor Michael Che will be in New York City taping a test episode for a new late-night show titled Don’t Sleep with Michael Che.

Walker’s set tapes at the Zouk Nightclub at Resorts World Las Vegas this Tuesday, August 27 at 9PM. Free tickets are available online.
