Saturday Night Live has announced the first three hosts and musical guests for its upcoming season, including a long awaited double-duty debut.
Musician Bad Bunny will host the show’s season premiere on October 4th, alongside musical guest Doja Cat. It marks Bad Bunny’s fourth formal visit to the show, and second time as host. The musician served as both host and musical guest in October 2023, and has been musical guest on two other occasions, including the Season 50 finale.
The episode will also mark Doja Cat’s SNL debut.
On October 11th, SNL is trotting out one of the show’s most famous alums to celebrate its true 50th anniversary. Amy Poehler will return as host for the first time in nearly a decade to emcee the episode, which is airing fifty years to the day that SNL first debuted in 1975. Poehler previously hosted in 2010, and again in 2015 alongside Tina Fey.
Poehler is fresh off of launching her hit podcast Good Hang with Amy Poehler, which has seen her connect with a number of fellow SNL alums.
Musical guest Role Model, the artist behind recent Billboard No. 1 hit “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out,” will make his SNL debut on the episode.
Keeping the fanfare going, the season’s third episode will feature another notable SNL milestone. Musician Sabrina Carpenter will not only host for the first time, but pull double-duty, serving as the night’s musical guest as well. Carpenter first served as musical guest for the Season 49 finale in May 2024. She returned to Studio 8H this past February to open the SNL50 anniversary special alongside Paul Simon, singing “Homeward Bound”—an appearance that led many to speculate she could be the show’s next big double-duty star.
The singer is riding high upon the release of her latest album, “Man’s Best Friend,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Saturday Night Live returns October 4th on NBC.
Ugh, Bad Bunny, AGAIN?! FFS…
