A new promo for the final Saturday Night Live of 2025 finds featured player Bowen Yang and host Ariana Grande wickedly excited to be sharing the stage with this weekend’s iconic musical guest, Cher.
Cher has no time for such adulation, though, so she plays Scrooge and aims to slap both Yang and Grande out of it, Moonstruck-style. Suffice to say, getting your cheek painted red by the Cher is an honor in and of itself, Yang and Grande make clear.
This week’s two other promo vignettes revolve around homophonic wordplay and… girls named Olivia?
Grande is hosting SNL for the third time, returning to Studio 8H on the heels of her and Yang’s Wicked: For Good sequel hitting theaters. The Academy Award–nominated Grammy winner hosted SNL just last year in a well-received episode that paired her with another music legend, Stevie Nicks.
Cher will perform as musical guest for the second time, marking her first official SNL appearance since 1987. The Oscar, Emmy and Grammy winner recently released her autobiography, Cher: The Memoir, now available in paperback. She previously took the stage during February’s SNL50 Homecoming Concert and was in the audience for the accompanying primetime anniversary special.
