March 2025 Late-Night Ratings: Daily Show, Nightline Post Monthly Gains

Note: LateNighter generally posts late night live-plus-seven monthly ratings on a seven (business) day delay, which is how they are released by Nielsen.

Comedy Central’s The Daily Show and ABC’s Nightline were the only two shows among the nine that we track to end the month of March 2025 in positive territory among both total viewers and younger viewers compared to a month ago.

The Daily Show made the month’s biggest gains, increasing its total viewer average by 7% among total viewers and by 10% among viewers aged 18-49. Nightline made more modest gains at 2% and 5%, respectively.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert once again took the took prize in 11:35pm timeslot, while Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon shared second place, with Kimmel outdrawing Fallon among total viewers and Fallon outdrawing Kimmel in the demo.

Late Night with Seth Meyers was the top dog at 12:37am, with Nightline coming in second among total viewers, while After Midnight with Taylor Tomlinson was the runner up among younger viewers.

Of the shows we track, After Midnight lost the most viewers month-over-month, down -10% among all viewers, and down -18% among viewers aged 18-49. It was the second down month in a row for the Taylor Tomlinson-hosted show, which is set to wrap its two season-run in June,

Switching to cable, Gutfeld! on Fox News was down -1% among total viewers, and -10% among younger viewers in March, while Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen treaded water, up 1% among total viewers, but down 2% among younger viewers.

was also down across both measures, posting declines of -11% among total viewers, and 22% among younger viewers.
