A strong ratings week for CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert continued on Thursday, with the program keeping first place at 11:35 p.m., and posting day to day audience gains in the process.
The Thursday, October 24 edition of The Late Show averaged 2,274,000 total viewers with 236,000 P18-49, per Nielsen live plus same day data. That’s up +21% in total viewers and +7% among P18-49 from the night before, +1% and -6%, respectively, from the previous Thursday episode (Oct. 17). Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Jonathan Alter made guest appearances on the program. JHAYCO performed.
 NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon took second place in the 11:35 p.m. timeslot among adults 18-49, but was edged by ABC in total viewers (just ~1,000 viewers). Featuring guests Sacha Baron Cohen, and Brett Goldstein, and Ian Lara performing his standup act, Thursday’s Tonight Show averaged 1,166,000 total viewers with 212,000 P18-49. That’s -11% in total viewers and -3% among P18-49 from the night before, but +20% and +37%, respectively, from the previous Thursday’s telecast (a repeat).
Jimmy Kimmel Live! was dark this past week and ABC re-aired the show’s Oct. 7, 2024 episode (the Gov. Tim Walz episode) on Thursday night. The 11:35 p.m. telecast averaged 1,167,000 total viewers with 128,000 P18-49 — which is up +13% in total viewers and +19% among P18-49 from the night before (a repeat); -31% and -17% from the previous Thursday (a new episode). Judd Apatow was Kimmel’s second guest on that Oct. 7 episode.
Following Fallon, NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers averaged 883,000 total viewers with 175,000 P18-49. That’s down -1% in total viewers and up +22% in the demo from the night before, +43% and +45%, respectively, from the previous Thursday (a rerun). Tom Holland, and David Remnick made guest appearances on the Oct. 24 episode.
Elsewhere, Thursday’s After Midnight  averaged 693,000 total viewers with 136,000 P18-49 on CBS. That’s up +23% in total viewers and +6% in P18-49 from the night before, -8% and +8%, respectively, from the week-ago episode. Colton Dunn, Scott Aukerman, and Diona Reasonover all appeared on the Taylor Tomlinson-led program.
Following Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Nightline averaged 693,000 total viewers with 82,000 P18-49 on ABC. That’s up +20% in total viewers and a whopping +156% in P18-49 from the night before (an abnormally low-rated episode). Thursday’s episode shed -12% in total viewers and gained +17%, in P18-49 from the previous Thursday’s episode.
Lastly, guest-hosted by Michael Kosta, The Daily Show  averaged 543,000 total viewers with 135,000 P18-49 on Oct. 24 at 11 p.m. That’s up +21% in total viewers and +61% among P18-49 from the night before, +2% and +63%, respectively, from the previous Thursday’s episode. Fat Joe was Kosta’s guest on the program.
