ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! has Monday Night Football to thank for another dominant Monday night performance, with the ABC late-night series delivering its highest numbers in the key 18-49 demo since September 30th, despite a 22-minute delayed start.
Kimmel handily took first place in both key measurements, with timeslot competitor CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert coming in second among total viewers, and both Colbert and NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon tied at second among viewers 18-49.
Kimmel’s guests Monday night were Garth Brooks and Drew Starkey. Colbert is on vacation this week and aired a repeat of his 11/12/24 broadcast, featuring guests John Krasinski and Francis Ford Coppola. Fallon’s guests Monday night were Kaley Cuoco, Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele, Matt Fitzpatrick, Cameron Young, and GloRilla.
ABC’s Nightline (which had a football-delayed start at 12:59 a.m.) also beat its timeslot competitors, with NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers coming in second in both key measures, just barely edging out a rerun of CBS’ After Midnight with Taylor Tomlinson among 18-49 year olds. Meyers’ guests Monday night were Jim Gaffigan and Allison Tolman, while After Midnight aired a repeat from October 2nd featuring panelists Michelle Collins, Vinny Thomas, and Akilah Hughes.
The Daily Show is dark all this week, with Comedy Central airing other programming in its timeslot.
