Questlove Returns To Podcasting with The Questlove Show

Questlove is getting back behind the mic. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon bandleader and Roots frontman is launching The Questlove Show, a newly retooled interview podcast following the end of his long-running series Questlove Supreme.

The first episode of The Questlove Show dropped today, marking Questlove’s return to podcasting after wrapping Questlove Supreme—or QLS—in April, ending a nearly nine-year run. This time around, he’s going solo, calling the new format “QLS 2.0.”

“My podcast is back, finally,” Questlove says in a trailer announcing the relaunch. “After taking several months of hiatus, we are back with new episodes, a new logo, a new approach, and yes, even a new name.”

The Grammy- and Oscar-winning musician describes the new series as a deeper dive into his guests’ creative lives. “The Questlove Show will focus on deep, personal conversations that get to know guests in a different way,” he says. “I wanted to understand the daily routines, the life-changing advice, the hidden talents—even your favorite breakfast cereals.”

Still, Questlove says the spirit of QLS remains intact. “At its core, QLS has and will always be driven by this nerdy curiosity and a passion for uncovering the makeup and journey of the people I sit down with.”

Early guests on the new show include Cameron Crowe, Chelsea Handler and cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw.

The Questlove Show continues under the same podcast feed and iHeart Podcast Network banner as its predecessor, joining the lineup alongside Bowen Yang’s Las Culturistas, Ego Nwodim’s Thanks Dad, and Robert Smigel’s upcoming Humor Me with Robert Smigel & Friends under Will Ferrell’s Big Money Players label.

The debut episode of The Questlove Show is streaming now on all major podcast platforms, with new episodes dropping every Wednesday.
