Please Don’t Destroy’s John Higgins Weds Comic Emily Wilson

One-third of Saturday Night Live’s resident viral video trio exchanged vows this weekend.

John Higgins married comedian Emily Wilson on Saturday. Higgins shared photos of the couple’s nuptials to Instagram, writing, “i’ll love you forever emmy.”

The event seemed to be an SNL star-studded affair, with guests including James Austin Johnson, Chloe Fineman, Ego Nwodim, Chloe Troast, and Higgins’ fellow Please Don’t Destroy members Ben Marshall and Martin Herlihy.

Higgins, son of SNL producer and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon announcer Steve Higgins, also received well wishes from some notable names on Instagram, including Molly Shannon and Judd Apatow.

Wilson is a comedian, writer, and actress. She co-hosts the podcast Litty and Sh*tty in the Big Bad City, hosts a weekly comedy and live music show at New York City’s KGB Bar, and previously opened for Please Don’t Destroy on tour.

Higgins has been with SNL since 2021. He joined alongside Marshall and Herlihy as writers on the show, but the trio frequently appears on air in pre-taped shorts.

Last year, they co-wrote and starred in their first feature film, the Apatow-produced Please Don’t Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain, for Peacock. It featured Conan O’Brien and fellow SNLers Bowen Yang and Chloe Troast.

Just last week they debuted a sketch made in partnership with Dunkin’.
