Former SNLer Molly Kearney Announces They’re Getting Top Surgery

How to tell fans you’re getting top surgery? If you’re former Saturday Night Live cast member Molly Kearney, you share a photo of yourself with a “Boob Voyage” cake.

In an Instagram post Sunday, Kearney wrote, “Tomorrow is the big day! Top surgery! Finally!! Becoming my truest self. I’m so very grateful to be able to do this.”

“Thanks to my family and besties for being my biggest supporters even though this post is only of me,” Kearney wrote, before adding that their mom was pitching in with Kearney’s physical recovery. “Shout-out to my mom for coming out of nurse retirement to take care of me.”

“Send good vibes and see y’all without the girls soon! Ta ta!” Kearney concluded, along with a special thanks to chef/baker Claire White “for my big ole boob cake.”

Among the many friends and followers offering congratulations and “breast wishes” in response was Kearney’s former SNL colleague Punkie Johnson, who wrote in her inimitable style, “U glowing miles. Chop dem titties.”

Kearney spent two seasons on Saturday Night Live as a featured player before exiting the series in August.

They shared a positive note upon their exit, shouting out writers and cast in a message that included Kearney quipping of their many roles on the show, “So many bald caps, so little time.” Fellow castmates Punkie Johnson and Chloe Troast also exited SNL ahead of Season 50.

Kearney lined up their first post-SNL role earlier this fall. While it remains to be seen whether the show will be picked up to series, CBS ordered a pilot of DMV, with Kearney cast as the office boss Barbara.
