Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney will welcome a couple of return guests this week for a fun but morbid chat.
Netflix just announced the guests joining John Mulaney for this Wednesday’s show, and it’s a predictably unpredictable combination of first-timers, second-timers, and an expert on a heavy topic.
Returning to Mulaney’s couch for the second time—and their second time together—are comedians Luenell and Pete Davidson.
Luenell paid a memorable visit to the show as a scheduled guest on Everybody’s in LA, where she left such an impression on fellow guest David Letterman that he began developing a show for her with Jimmy Kimmel. She also left an impression on Davidson, who made an unannounced pop-in and was, with Bill Hader, driven to hysterics by an exchange Luenell had with seismologist Dr. Lucy Jones.
Hader won’t be there this time around, but his Barry co-star will be: TV icon Henry Winkler will also guest.
This week’s musical guest are punk rockers Mannequin Pussy, making their television debut. Mulaney actually teased an appearance by them—at least in jest—when he first announced the new iteration of his talk show. “This will be the one place where you could see Arnold Schwarzenegger sitting next to Nikki Glaser sitting next to a family therapist with music by Mannequin Pussy,” he said at January’s Next on Netflix event. “That’s just an idea. We don’t know if we can lock in Mannequin Pussy.”
Of course, an Everybody’s Live lineup wouldn’t be complete without an expert to speak to the episode’s theme. This week, those honors are going to licensed funeral director and embalmer Raymundo Perez-Plascencia. With that in mind, Mulaney is presumably forging ahead with an episode topic originally revealed in a recent Vulture article: End-of-Life Planning.
Episode 3 of Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney streams live on Netflix Wednesday, March 26, at 10 PM ET/7 PM PT.
