The Colbert Countdown continues.
CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will kick off its second-to-last week of episodes Monday, inching ever closer to the 33-year-old franchise’s Thursday, May 21, series finale.
On Monday, May 11, Colbert will, as first reported by LateNighter, reunite the hosts of Strike Force Five podcast launched during 2023 writers strike—Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, and John Oliver. That night will also feature a special Broadway-themed performance by stage vets Annaleigh Ashford, Christopher Jackson, Bernadette Peters, Ben Platt, and Patrick Wilson.
Tuesday, May 12, The Ed Sullivan Theater welcomes Colbert’s seven-time Late Show guest Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who voices a Shetland sheep in the animated mystery comedy The Sheep Detectives (out this Friday). Pedro Pascal will also stop by that night, ahead of the May 22 premiere of Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu, the big-screen follow-up to Disney+’s The Mandalorian series.
On Wednesday, May 13, Tom Hanks will appear for an 18th time, ahead of the June 19 release of Toy Story 5, in which he again voices Woody the pull-string cowboy doll. We’ll also get former President Barack Obama’s answers to “The Colbert Questionert,” procured during Colbert’s recent visit to Chicago for the in-depth sit-down that aired earlier this week.
Closing out the week of new episodes, Thursday, May 14, will bring no less than original franchise front man David Letterman (as detailed here), plus a musical performance by The Strokes.
The current week’s run of Late Show episodes wraps tonight at 11:35 pm. ET with guest John Krasinski, who is making rounds for Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War, a Prime Video spinoff movie streaming May 20. We’ll also get a final “Kids Pitch” installment featuring appearances by Jenny Slate, Liam Neeson, John Oliver, The Pitt‘s Isa Briones and Taylor Dearden, and The Avett Brothers.

I never celebrate when somebody loses a job. It is NOT “Right.” However, Stephen has nobody to blame but himself. He decided to take the show in a direction that turned MANY viewers off. An eleven year run after replacing a legend is no easy feat. What a great accomplishment. May Stephen experience the ending of one chapter and the beginning of another one by being Blessed.
Stephen Colbert’s getting his show yanked off the air because your Dear Toddler Drumpf ordered the owners of CBS to cancel him, if they ever wanted any new deals approved by him, like buying Warner Bros. All because Colbert truth bombs on your racist traitor, who’s the biggest thin skinned diaper baby in the world!
Colbert wasn’t losing viewers, when he was duking it out with Kimmel for the top spot in late night! That’s just you lying though your ignorant mouth because you so desperately want people to believe Colbert turned people off with his politics!

Blaming Stephen completely ignores all the corporate greed behind the scenes, the business suits who could’ve stood up against the new government and weathered the media landscape. Instead they’re all right-leaning sycophants who want every form of media and silencing/blaming any form of criticism from the opposition, mostly left leaning
Besides, CBS could’ve consulted Colbert about toning down politics (tho tbf it’s pretty moderate enough to stomach) and have him neutered into another Fallon, but the writing was on the wall when the merger talks began~

Yes, all has-beens….and Pascal was killed off from his own show, which gets lower ratings than FOX news.

Sadly looking forward to these star studded final eps. It’s a real cultural loss for this once great country that seems to be Russia bound.

Very not religious, but fitting for this situation. Engaging in these arguments often leads to a waste of time and energy, as irrational individuals are rarely interested in logic or truth, but rather in winning the conflict.
No one who cares will become a hate filled bigot! We already know who they are! Racist, sexist, anti LGBTQ losers that won’t take responsibility of their own lives! Nobody’s going to turn into that, all because we give them the scorn they deserve!
