Stephen Colbert is stacking the deck with familiar faces as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert enters its final month.
With just four weeks remaining before the show’s May 21 series finale, next week’s just-announced lineup leans heavily on repeat visitors—in fact, every scheduled guest has appeared on The Late Show before, with many dating back even further to The Colbert Report.
Among them: Neil deGrasse Tyson, Jon Stewart, Elizabeth Warren, and Jake Tapper, who together have logged a combined 81 appearances on Colbert’s Late Show alone.
Stewart’s appearance will double as a segment showcase, with the Late Show EP joining Colbert for a new installment of “Late Show Home Shopping.” The recurring bit—introduced in December—has featured Colbert auctioning off memorabilia (and T-shirts) to benefit chef José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen (at last count, the charity auction had raised nearly a million dollars).
Colbert’s other returning guests next week are set to include Pete Buttigieg, Don Cheadle, Andy Serkis, and Michael Stipe.
Stipe’s booking carries a bit of added resonance. Colbert has consistently praised Stipe as “one of the best front-men ever,” and considers the musician a personal idol. Their relationship dates back to The Colbert Report, where he famously “enshrined” Stipe on his set’s Shelf of Honor following R.E.M.’s breakup.
Colbert’s complete guest lineup for the week of April 20 follows:

“After Thursday, Colbert and company will take a one-week break before returning for the show’s final three weeks of new episodes leading up to its May 21 finale.”
LOL…..Pathetic….no public demand to see the final episodes that they reduced inventory from 20 to 16 more drivel outings.
I’m sure quasi-rapist Eric Swalwell (D) will be on of his guests as well
Funny you’re still obsessed over Swalwell only cuz Kimmel did bring up the resignations of both him and Gonzales in the recent episode, but contextually through Lauren Boebert’s bizarre reaction.
Like I said before, Kimmel, or really any late night host, does not owe you their feelings on the resignation because at least Dems take out and dismiss the bad apples~
Besides, this week’s news w/the President’s beef w/the Pope of all people is a broader, more entertaining issue 😆
Oh and Colbert, I’m sure there are viewers frustrated about Colbert taking another week off, myself included. CBS can go to hell after burying their credibility to the grave once May 21’s passed.
I just hope that break will be used as a late minute weekend trip to visit the Pope~
I think Kimmel endorsing a rapist is a bigger issue, and Kimmel not addressing it just shows what a coward that he is that he couldn’t criticize Democrats for covering up his crimes.
Colbert will use that week to cry that his low-rated show is on the verge of cancellation forever. What a loser.
Why does it bother me that hypocrites like Kimmel refuse to address that he is good friends with quasi-rapist, Eric Swalwell (D), and endorsed his campaign.
Again, Colbert is losing his show due to his shitty performance of getting only 2 million per night. Also, that there is no demand for his shows that they reduced it from 20 airings to now only 16 more pathetic nights for this late night loser.
How many times do you have to be told, Mucky Boy? Colbert is losing his highly rated show, because your Dear Racist Toddler Drumpf forced the Ellisons to cancel his show, if they want any future deals dione with him! You saying it was the ratings that did him in is just a lying assed talking point that you MAGA filth gobble up, like Drumpf eating Big Macs!
And Kimmel doesn’t owe you anything! Especially when your same Dear Racist Toddler Drumpf has behaved far, far worse over the years and decades! He’s a serial predator and pedophile! You refusing to recognize it shows how big a fucking fool you are!
You got nothing but whiny ass MAGA grievances Mucky Boy! But I’m sure you’ll come up with a laughable excuse as to why you’re not, rather than take a good hard look at yourself! And I’ll be here ready to slap you hard, as usual!
You think Democrats are the scum of the earth, while Republicans are God’s choice!
That’s why nobody takes you seriously here!
To answer your question of why you’re bothered Kimmel doesn’t directly bring up Swalwell’s resignation can be distilled to 2 things:
One, you’re putting Kimmel, who’s an entertainer/late night host FIRST, and happens to make political jokes, on a higher accountability standard than the actual politicians in power who are taking away everyone’s sanity w/their shock value decisions and placating to the 1%, and now their leader attributing himself to JESUS w/a terrible AI image, which is the biggest offensive headline. You’re wasting your rage at the same guy known for pulling silly pranks but also gives back to his community more than this Swalwell guy.
And two, the fact you will never receive any self-gratification from the mistakes of someone you hate like Kimmel. He’s not perfect; Some of his choices and even relationships age like milk but he has to carry on and prioritize his attention to the real headlines, and it’s definitely NOT Swalwell since the rep deliberately made the choice to take accountability by stepping away from the public and his governor run. Kimmel will not indulge in your desire for criticizing Dems even more when they’re already scapegoats for other media outlets.
And if you think a public figure endorsing a rapist is a big issue, buddy you should be more concerned about the conservative sycophants, both political and from pop culture, who bend the knee to an aging, deranged President w/records of alleged sexual misconduct, his ties to a pedophile, and terrible behavior to women.
Let’s be clear: No matter how much you reply and spam over and over, the efforts are futile. Kimmel owes you NOTHING, you unserious, energy-sucking site troll~
