Note: LateNighter generally posts late night daily ratings on a two (business) day delay, which is how they are released by Nielsen.
Each of the late-night talk shows aired reruns this past Friday, April 26, and that resulted in a first-place split.
CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert averaged the most total viewers, while ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! averaged the most P18-49.
ABC aired JKL’s April 10, 2024 episode this past Friday beginning at 12 a.m. (due to live NFL Draft coverage on the network), and per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data, the telecast averaged 188,000 P18-49 and 1,115,000 total viewers. That represents a -26% decline in P18-49 viewers (consistent with ABC’s day two NFL Draft ratings decline), but +2% improvement in total viewers from the previous night’s repeat telecast. Jimmy Kimmel Live! shed -19% in total viewers and -8% in P18-49 viewers from the previous Friday telecast (also a repeat). That may be due to the late start for the April 26 telecast (JKL started aired in its usual 11:35 p.m. slot the Friday before).
