Kenan Thompson, Kevin Hart Re-Team for Peacock’s 2024: Back That Year Up

They’re back: Kenan Thompson and Kevin Hart are returning to Peacock with their annual year-end special.

Like their two previous year-end specials and last summer’s Olympics highlights series, 2024: Back That Year Up will see Thompson and Hart irreverently recap the biggest news stories of the past year. This year’s edition is also set to feature appearances from Nate Bargatze, Mookie Betts, Kenny G, Blake Griffin, Jon Hamm, Jonquel Jones, Seth Meyers, mgk, and Rashida ‘Sheedz’ Olayiwola,

The new 60-minute special, which hails from Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat Productions and Thompson’s Artists For Artists production company, drops on Peacock Monday December 23rd.

Thompson, of course, is Saturday Night Live’s longest-tenured cast member, having joined the show in 2003.

“We’re back baby,” Hart said in a statement. “It’s been a wild year, and we are going to end it with a BANG. Get ready for another season of Back That Year Up with me and Kenan–the holidays wouldn’t be the same without us!”

“The best time of year is here,” Thompson added. “Kev and I are wrapping up a memorable 2024 with jokes, laughs and of course, some of our incredible celebrity friends. You don’t want to miss this one!”

Thompson, of course, is the longest tenured cast member of Saturday Night Live, having joined the show in 2003. His recent work outside SNL includes 2023’s Good Burger 2 and his sitcom Kenan, which aired on NBC from 2021-2023.
