The number of late-night stars headed to Paris this summer has now doubled.
On the heels of Jimmy Fallon signing on to co-host the 2024 Olympics closing ceremonies, Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson has agreed to co-host his own show for the games alongside Kevin Hart.
Deadline reports the duo will host and executive-produce a comedic recap series for Peacock during the 2024 Olympics. “Olympic Highlights with Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson” will feature interviews, in-studio competitions, and commentary on the Summer Games. Eight episodes have been ordered.
It’s familiar terrain for Hart, in two ways. He hosted a version of “Olympic Highlights” with Snoop Dogg for the 2020 Summer Olympics, and he previously teamed up with Thompson on the New Year’s Eve special “2022: Back That Year Up.” Like this latest series, each were produced for Peacock by Hart’s production company.
The Games of the XXXIII Olympiad in Paris—and the first episode of Hart and Thompson’s “Olympic Highlights”—kick off on July 26, 2024.
