After two months away, Jimmy Kimmel‘s eagerly anticipated return to Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday September 3rd is shaping up to be an episode to remember.
Not only will Kimmel have a summer’s worth of (huge) news to sink his teeth into, but his guest will be none other than Billie Eilish, whose song “Birds of a Feather” is currently enjoying its third week atop Billboard’s global music charts.
Eilish is one of just a small handful of music acts with the potential to help late-night shows see a ratings bump among viewers 18-49. Her last late-night appearance, on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in May contributed to a 39% week-over-week increase in the demo, a feat that she repeated less than a month later when The Late Show aired her performing second song that was taped (but not aired) the same day as her May appearance.
Next Tuesday’s visit will be Eilish’s fifth with Kimmel. She last appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! (along with her brother Finneas) in October of 2023.
Other guests currently scheduled for Kimmel’s Season 23 premiere week include Peter Dinklage and John Legend (on Weds), Brian Tyree Henry (on Thurs), and Kumail Nanjiani (on Friday).
Kimmel has been on vacation from his show since late June. Producers have kept his seat warm with a series of guest hosts, including Martin Short, Ryan Reynolds & Hugh Jackman, Jeff Goldblum and RuPaul.
