Nearly a year after releasing his hit Christmas single “Wrap Me Up,” Jimmy Fallon is set to spread 16 times the yuletide cheer with his new album, Holiday Seasoning.
Fallon confirmed during Monday night’s episode of The Tonight Show that his first holiday album will include 13 new tracks in addition to “Wrap Me Up” (with Meghan Trainor) and two other existing singles: “It Was a… (Masked Christmas)” (with Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion) and “Almost Too Early for Christmas” (with Dolly Parton).
The tracklist announcement comes just over a month after Fallon announced Holiday Seasoning’s November 1 release date while interviewing one of its featured artists, Justin Timberlake. Also included on the album’s guest list are Jonas Brothers, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Will Ferrell, Chelsea Handler, Cara Delevingne, and, of course, The Roots.
As evidenced by its inclusion of songs that date back to 2021, Holiday Seasoning has been years in the making. New track titles like “Thanksgiving Eve” and “New Year’s Eve Polka” indicate an intention to inspire listeners to keep the family-friendly record spinning all season long.
Fallon previously released the musical comedy albums The Bathroom Wall in 2002 and Blow Your Pants Off in 2012. Older Christmas singles of his that did not make the Holiday Seasoning cut include his “Drunk on Christmas” duet with John Rich and his cover of “All I Want for Christmas Is You” with Parton.
