Hot Ones Launches New Series with SNLers, Daily Show Correspondents

Hot Ones is pulling from the roster of late-night stars to help launch a new spinoff.

First We Feast has announced guests for the first two episodes of its new series, Hot Ones: Wing Pong, and it’s a who who of talent from The Daily Show and Saturday Night Live.

The web series’ concept takes beer pong and tosses it in Hot Ones‘ flagship concept of wing challenges: Competing in teams of two, players try to drain ping-pong balls in the other team’s cups. In each cup is a question and a wing with a mystery heat level. When a player sinks a shot, their opponent will have to choose between eating and answering. (The setup also includes a hidden “death cup.”)

Hot Ones: Wing Pong will debut this Wednesday, November 12th, with TDS correspondents Josh Johnson and Jordan Klepper squaring off against Michael Kosta and Grace Kuhlenschmidt.

The show will return for a second episode on December 8th with four current SNL players: Mikey Day and James Austin Johnson will face Chloe Fineman and Sarah Sherman.

Although it’s not late-night, Hot Ones and its host Sean Evans become a part of the wider late-night community in recent years—thanks both to memorable guest appearances by hosts like Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Fallon, and Hot Ones’ entry into the Outstanding Talk Series category for last year’s Emmy Awards.
