Haley Joel Osment’s JD Vance Returns to Kimmel

JD Vance returned to Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday night as Haley Joel Osment put a Parisian spin on his impersonation of the newly installed vice president.

Vance was in Paris yesterday delivering an address at a summit on artificial intelligence as news spread of President Trump’s response when asked whether he viewed his Vice President as his successor. “No,” Trump said.

“I have not seen much coverage of this,” Kimmel said in his monologue. “So I thought it might be interesting to check in [with Vance] and see how it’s going.”

Cutting to Osment as Vance donning a red “Make America Great Again” beret, the vice president was shown drinking out of a bidet he mistook for a water fountain. The in-studio sketch mocked Vance’s lack of understanding about French culture—from escargot to “bag-wets”—before Kimmel broke the news about Trump’s recent comments discouraging a Vance presidency.

Last night marked Osment’s third appearance as Vance on JKL—his first since the Ohio politician won the vice presidency.

The actor made his debut as Vance in September, appearing in a debate panel sketch alongside Josh Meyers as Gavin Newsom and James Adomian as MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell. He then reprised the role in a taped piece lampooning Vance’s awkward interaction at a donut shop while on the campaign trail.

Kimmel has assembled an A-team of political caricatures to recur on his show, regularly enlisting actors to portray political figures and influencers like Newsom, Lindell, Tim Walz, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
