John Mulaney is gathering another eclectic group of guests on Netflix this week.
Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney will feature two comics, an iconic artist, and more this Wednesday, when it returns for its fourth episode.
Filmmaker, artist, and actor John Waters is set to join the panel. Historically, Waters has been a somewhat familiar face on late night, having appeared over the years on Late Night with David Letterman, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. His most recent late-night appearances have come by way of Gutfeld! and Real Time with Bill Maher.
Comedians Wanda Sykes and Stavros Halkias will bring the traditional comedy to the panel—and a double dose of Netflix synergy. Sykes co-created and stars in the streamer’s animated series The Upshaws, which just released its fourth season in January. Netflix is also the home of her most recent standup specials: 2019’s Not Normal and 2023’s I’m an Entertainer.
Halkias released his own standup special, Fat Rascal, on Netflix in 2023. He also stars in Shane Gillis’ Netflix original comedy series Tires, whose second season is due out sometime this year. He was also one of Mulaney’s first guests on Everybody’s Live’s first iteration, John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s in LA. Halkias guested on the show’s coyote-themed world premiere episode.
Mulaney didn’t disclose this week’s theme when he announced his guests—but as per usual, Episode 4’s guest list includes an expert: Supreme Court lawyer Neal Katyal. Katyal served as Acting Solicitor General of the United States for President Barack Obama from 2010-2011.
Eschewing the punkier stylings of Everybody’s Live’s previous two episodes, this week’s music will be provided by violinist Daniel Hope and the New Century Chamber Orchestra. Hope, who hails from South Africa, was named music director for the San Francisco-based orchestra in 2018.
Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney streams live on Netflix Wednesday, April 2, at 10 PM ET/7 PM PT.
