Jimmy Kimmel and Donald Trump’s biggest dust-up to date may be behind them, but the president isn’t done calling for the cancellation of Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Trump once again railed against Kimme in an after-midnight post on Truth Social, and appeared to question the local station groups that carry the show.
“Why does ABC Fake News keep Jimmy Kimmel, a man with NO TALENT and VERY POOR TELEVISION RATINGS, on the air?,” the president fumed in the 12:49 AM rant. “Why do the TV Syndicates put up with it? Also, totally biased coverage. Get the bum off the air!!!”
The president’s post came about an hour after Kimmel wrapped his monologue Wednesday night, in which he celebrated the passage of a bill to release the Epstein files.
“The vote in Congress was 427-1. It was such a landslide, Trump might actually be able to re-bury the Epstein files under it,” Kimmel joked.
“The Senate today sent the bill to the White House,” Kimmel added. “Usually when Trump gets a bill, he declares bankruptcy and doesn’t pay it, but this one, he’s gonna have to sign it… Trump hasn’t been this nervous about signing something since Don Jr.’s birth certificate.”
Kimmel went on to mock Trump’s speech at the U.S.-Saudi investment forum, during which the president rambled about Easter eggs and windmills.
Trump targeting Kimmel’s show is nothing new, but his remarks appear to show his continued concern over the groups who carry Kimmel’s show. “TV syndicates,” as Trump put it, presumably refers to broadcast groups who own collections of ABC affiliates that carry Jimmy Kimmel Live! every night.
It was a similar suggestion from Trump’s handpicked FCC chair Brendan Carr in September that led Nexstar and Sinclair—two of the nation’s largest affiliate groups—to pull Kimmel off the air indefinitely, with ABC to briefly following suit at the network level. With both groups relying on the FCC’s approval for future deals, the suspension quickly drew accusations of corporate capitulation.
While both station groups returned the show to their airwaves shortly after it was reinstated by ABC, the FCC opened an inquiry just yesterday into whether networks should be allowed to exert “undue pressure” upon their affiliates to carry programs like Kimmel’s.
It’s likely that Trump’s latest jab at Kimmel—and his apparent questioning of affiliate groups—will provoke a reaction from the late-night host in tonight’s monologue.

The President is able to say viscous, violent, demeaning words, rants about any person but We The American People are not able to disagree with him or make any unfavorable comments about him!
