Desi Lydic Returns to Tues-Thurs Daily Show Anchor Desk This Week

Daily Show correspondent Desi Lydic is set to once again host the Daily Show’s Tuesday through Thursday episodes this week, picking up where Monday night host Jon Stewart leaves off tonight.

This will be Lydic’s third week behind The Daily Show’s anchor desk this season. She hosted solo one week in late February, and returned for a week-long co-hosting stint with fellow correspondent Michael Kosta just three weeks ago.

Lydic’s guests this week are set to include a pair of documentary filmmakers, a candidate for the US Senate, and a SAG-winning actor.

On Tuesday she’ll welcome US Representative Colin Allred, the Texas democrat challenging Ted Cruz for his US Senate seat this November.

Wednesday, her guest will be Alison Brie, best known for her roles in Community, Mad Men, and GLOW. She’ll be promoting her new Peacock limited series Apples Never Fall.

And Thursday she’ll be talking with journalist Sebastian Junger and former Navy pilot Ken Harbaugh, who will discuss their new documentary Against All Enemies, which explores why some military veterans have joined the growing violent, right-wing extremist movement in America.
