Jon Stewart, Ronny Chieng Share Daily Show Anchor Duties This Week

Comedy Central’s The Daily Show this week has Jon Stewart and Ronny Chieng breaking down the latest headlines and hosting a wide variety of guests.

Franchise front man Stewart kicks things off Monday with a pair of guests, Financial Times columnist Soumaya Keynes and Trade Talks podcast host Chad P. Bown, ahead of the May 26 release of their book How to Win a Trade War: An Optimistic Guide to an Anxious Global Economy.

From Tuesday through Thursday, senior correspondent Chieng assumes anchor duties, in his third rotation behind the desk of 2026.

Chieng’s guest on Tuesday is Academy Award winner Brendan Fraser, who stars as General Dwight D. Eisenhower in the World War II historical thriller Pressure (in theaters May 29).

On Wednesday, Chieng welcomes stand-up comic and battle rapper Jonnie Park aka Dumbfoundead, who recently released the memoir SPIT: A Life in Battles.

Closing out the week, Chieng’s Thursday guest is “Weird Al” Yankovic, who’s in the midst of his ongoing “Bigger and Weirder” comedy tour.

In addition to being part of The Daily Show‘s host rotation, Chieng on May 9 wrapped his and former TDS correspondent Hasan Minhaj’s “Hasan Hates Ronny | Ronny Hates Hasan” comedy tour, with a trio of shows at the Netflix Is a Joke Fest. He also has appeared on the NBC sitcom The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins and in Peacock’s The Miniature Wife, and made a big-screen cameo in The Devil Wears Prada 2.

The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central, with episodes streaming the following day on Paramount+.
