Hasan Minhaj and Ronny Chieng Reunite for Comedy Debate Tour

Two Daily Show correspondents—one past, one present—are embroiled in a no-holds-barred feud, and they plan to rehash it over 19 dates this fall.

It’s all part of Hasan Minhaj and Ronny Chieng’s new live tour, “Hasan Hates Ronny | Ronny Hates Hasan.” First reported by Deadline, the comedy tour will feature the two comedians taking the stage together for “a debate to the death.” Minhaj and Chieng promise to “take each other to task personally and professionally,” tackling topics like immigration, the economy, infrastructure, and dating.

The pair will take the tour to 19 different cities between October and December.

“If hate is your love language, don’t miss out,” reads the show’s promotional materials.

Chieng and Minhaj served as correspondents together on The Daily Show for nearly three years, until Minhaj left to lead Patriot Act for Netflix. He returned to guest-host several times in 2023 following Trevor Noah’s departure, and was poised to get the full-time hosting gig before a misleading New Yorker profile gave Comedy Central execs cold feet.

Chieng now regularly hosts Tuesday-through-Thursday editions of The Daily Show in its new rotating correspondent-as-host format. The comedian is currently scheduled to make his second appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon tonight.
