The Daily Show is extending its 30th anniversary celebration with a new limited-series podcast hosted by the show’s current correspondents.
Comedy Central announced Wednesday that the three-episode 30 F#@king Years: The Daily Show Remembers will premiere Monday, August 3.
The podcast brings together Jordan Klepper, Desi Lydic, Ronny Chieng, Michael Kosta, Josh Johnson, Grace Kuhlenschmidt, and Troy Iwata to revisit favorite moments from the late-night franchise’s first three decades.
According to Comedy Central, the group will look back at unforgettable moments, iconic field pieces, and legendary correspondents who helped define the show across its many eras.
As LateNighter’s Bill Carter wrote in his recent three-part look back at the show, The Daily Show grew from a scrappy cable experiment into the most significant reinvention of late-night television since the debut of Tonight in 1954. Under Jon Stewart, it developed a sharper political point of view, built a research operation committed to factual accuracy, and became a launching pad for generations of comedy talent.
The show continued to evolve during Trevor Noah’s seven-year tenure and, following a turbulent search for his successor, found new momentum in 2024 with Stewart’s return and a rotating-host model that has showcased the depth of its current correspondent roster.
The show itself marked 30 years since its July 22, 1996 debut last week, airing a 16-minute supercut that raced through three decades of news coverage and the many now-familiar faces who delivered it, from the Clinton administration and the 2000 election recount through the current political era.
