Update: Added video of the segment as it aired on Monday night’s Tonight Show, above.
Jimmy Fallon and Bad Bunny gave New York City subway riders a commute to remember this morning.
Fallon and the musician teamed up for one of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’s surprise subway performances earlier today.
As usual, the subway performance—part of a recurring segment called “Subway Busking” that The Tonight Show will pull out occasionally—started with both Fallon and Bad Bunny appearing in disguise. After a crowd gathers, they eventually reveal themselves.
Aside from some Bad Bunny songs, the duo threw in an unexpected addition to the setlist: Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way.”
Bad Bunny was already scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show tonight in a big way. He’ll guest host alongside Fallon tonight—the first time Fallon has welcomed a co-host in several years. Fallon (and Bad Bunny) are also set to welcome Sofía Gascón and Linus Sebastian.
Fallon’s most recent subway performance came last year with Green Day. Word leaked out of the planned surprise appearance advance of that taping, drawing a larger than usual crowd of fans and onlookers amid the subway’s regular commuters.
Bad Bunny’s appearance on The Tonight Show comes as the musician just released his sixth solo album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, on January 5th.
