Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen apologized Thursday after Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville accused him of sexual harassment.
In a letter threatening legal action against NBCUniversal, Glanville’s attorneys Bryan J. Freedman and Mark Geragos say she “has been a victim of sexual harassment at Bravo by none other than Andy Cohen,” citing a private 2022 video sent by Cohen to Glanville.
Glanville’s attorneys allege that the video shows an “obviously inebriated” Cohen boasting of his intent to sleep with another Bravo star while thinking of Glanville, inviting her to watch on Facetime.
Cohen quickly took to X to apologize for his comments in the video, which he says were meant in jest.
“The video shows Kate Chastain and I very clearly joking to Brandi,” he wrote. “It was absolutely meant in jest, and Brandi’s response clearly communicated she was in on the joke. That said, it was totally inappropriate and I apologize.”
Glanville’s lawyers agree that it was inappropriate. “Mr. Cohen was Ms. Glanville’s boss at the time and exercised complete and total control over her career,” describing his comment in the video as “an extraordinary abuse of power that left Ms. Glanville feeling trapped and disgusted.”
The Housewives star has yet to file suit, but in their letter, her lawyers ask that all documentation pertinent to their case be preserved.
