First on LateNighter: As wildfires continue to rage in Los Angeles County, After Midnight with Taylor Tomlinson has cancelled two planned tapings today and will air repeat episodes tonight and Thursday night.
The show’s studio, at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, is well out of the fire zone, but with staff and audience members living across the city, and Los Angeles area residents being urged to stay off the roads, the cancellation would seem a prudent call.
At press time, late night’s only other Los Angeles-based show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, was still scheduled to tape an episode this afternoon.
After Midnight is now set to air repeats of its December 12th and December 9th episodes tonight and tomorrow. The show’s scheduled guests for the cancelled tapings will presumably be re-booked on future episodes. The show is expected to return to the studio with new episodes Monday January 13th.
Meanwhile, Jimmy Fallon, who tapes The Tonight Show in New York, was set to welcome Jamie Lee Curtis tonight. Curtis is among the thousands who were forced to evacuate their homes Tuesday, with the actor posting on Instagram early this morning, “My community and perhaps my home is on fire… It is a terrifying situation and I’m grateful to the firefighters and all of the good Samaritans who are helping people get out of the way of the blaze.”
