Late Night This Week: Who’s on and Who’s Gone

Midterm election night is scrambling the late-night schedule this week, with The Tonight Show, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Gutfeld!, Nightline, Comics Unleashed, and Funny You Should Ask all preempted Tuesday for election coverage.

The disruption will make for a couple of unusual scheduling moves later in the week: Fallon and Seth Meyers are both set to air new Friday night episodes, while Fallon will also tack on a special Tonight Show Sunday night following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers–Chicago Bears edition of Sunday Night Football.

Here’s who’s on and off the week of November 2, 2026:

Jimmy Kimmel Live!

On. Jimmy Kimmel Live! is scheduled to continue with new episodes this week, including a special Election Night broadcast featuring the hosts of Pod Save America and, in a most clever music booking this election night, Cage the Elephant.

Kimmel’s other guests this week are set to include Bill Hader, Justine Lupe, Miles Teller, Timothy Simons, Adam Driver, and Mike D with his band  Mike D 5D.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

On, with an election-night interruption. Jimmy Fallon has an unusually busy week ahead. The Tonight Show is preempted Tuesday for NBC’s election coverage, so the show will make up the night with a rare new Friday episode—and then return again Sunday night following Sunday Night Football.

Sam Rockwell, Niecy Nash-Betts, Eric Ripert, and Kurt Vile lead off Monday. After Tuesday’s preemption, Tracy Morgan, Carrie Coon, and Anthony Vitolo visit Wednesday, followed by Ethan Hawke, Jennifer Beals, Anthony Ippolito, and Ashe on Thursday. Sarah Paulson, Caitlin Clark, and Dinner Party are set for Friday. Guests for Sunday’s special episode have not yet been announced.

Comics Unleashed
