Late night is one week away from running on all cylinders again—but first comes one more unusual week. Monday’s Emmys will keep both Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Daily Show dark for the night, while Seth Meyers, Saturday Night Live, and Byron Allen’s CBS late-night block remain in repeats until next week. Still, there’s plenty of original programming to go around, from Fallon and Andy Cohen to John Oliver, Bill Maher, Gutfeld!, Nightline, and Saturday Night Live UK.
Here’s who’s on and off late night the week of September 14, 2026:
Jimmy Kimmel Live!
On, after Emmy night. Jimmy Kimmel and team are off Monday for the Emmys, but Jimmy Kimmel Live! returns with three new episodes Tuesday through Thursday.
Stephen Colbert visits Tuesday, followed by Bill Burr and H.E.R. on Wednesday. Sarah Paulson and Rory Scovel close out the shortened week Thursday. Judith Hill is scheduled to sit in with The Cletones throughout the week.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
On. Jimmy Fallon is on all week with four new episodes of The Tonight Show. Salma Hayek Pinault, Becky G, Andrew Huberman, and Angine De Poitrine lead off Monday, followed by Helen Mirren, Alan Cumming, Jake Shane, and KITSCHKRIEG featuring Blumengarten on Tuesday. LISA, benny blanco, and Jungle visit Wednesday, with Tom Cruise, Lili Reinhart, and Suki Waterhouse closing out the week Thursday.
Comics Unleashed
Gone. Both nightly installments of Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen airing in CBS’ late-night block remain in repeats this week. New episodes are set to begin airing again in the show’s first half next week.
Funny You Should Ask
Gone. The second hour of Byron Allen’s CBS late-night block also remains in repeat mode. Funny You Should Ask will begin airing first-run episodes in its first half hour next week for the first time since its move to CBS late nights in May.
Late Night with Seth Meyers
Gone, for one more week. Seth Meyers remains off this week as Late Night finishes out its extended seven-week break. The show is scheduled to return with new episodes next week.
Nightline
On. ABC’s late-night newsmagazine is scheduled to continue airing new episodes this week.
The Daily Show
On, after Emmy night. The Daily Show is off Monday, with the show’s staff attending the Emmys, but is slated to return with new episodes Tuesday through Thursday on Comedy Central. Jon Stewart is set to return Monday, Sept. 21.
Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen
On. Andy Cohen is keeping the Bravo clubhouse open this week, with new editions of Watch What Happens Live scheduled Monday through Thursday. Andrew Garfield and Jamie Bell lead off Monday, followed by Chelsea Frei and Jessel Taank on Tuesday. Bronwyn Newport and Jon Lovett visit Wednesday, with Carmella Garcia and Chelsea Green closing out the week Thursday.
Gutfeld!
On. Gutfeld! is scheduled to continue with new episodes this week.
Have I Got News For You
On. CNN’s Have I Got News For You is on this week with a new episode. Guests are usually announced mid-week.
Saturday Night Live UK
On. Saturday Night Live UK is also new this week, with Jamie Demetriou hosting and Royal Blood serving as musical guest.
Real Time with Bill Maher
On. Bill Maher is scheduled to continue with a new episode of Real Time this Friday.
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver
On. John Oliver returns from his late-summer break this weekend, with a new episode of Last Week Tonight scheduled for Sunday.
Saturday Night Live
Gone, for one more week. Saturday Night Live remains on summer hiatus after closing out Season 51 in May. The show is set to kick off Season 52 next week.
