Saturday Night Live has announced the first four hosts and musical guests of Season 52, with New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson getting the call to open the season.
Brunson will host the Sept. 26 premiere with musical guest KATSEYE, followed by Dakota Johnson and Turnstile on Oct. 3, Shane Gillis and Rosalía on Oct. 10, and Inde Navarrette and Gracie Abrams on Oct. 31.
It will mark Brunson’s first time hosting SNL, capping a remarkable year in which he was named MVP of the 2026 NBA Finals after leading the Knicks to their first championship in 53 years.
KATSEYE will also be making its SNL debut. The Grammy-nominated global girl group recently released its third EP, WILD, and is currently on its sold-out WILDWORLD tour.
Johnson, meanwhile, will be back in Studio 8H for her third hosting stint. Her appearance comes one day after the theatrical release of her new film Verity.
Turnstile will make its first appearance as musical guest. The Grammy-winning hardcore band recently kicked off the North American leg of its NEVER ENOUGH Tour Pt. 2.
Gillis will be making his third appearance as host, continuing a relationship with the show that once seemed unlikely. The comedian was briefly hired as an SNL cast member in 2019 before being dropped prior to appearing on the show, then returned to host for the first time in February 2024.
His latest booking follows a summer in which he set two Guinness World Records with a sold-out performance at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field. His Netflix comedy Tires was also recently renewed for a fourth season.
Rosalía will make her second appearance as musical guest. The Grammy winner recently wrapped her global Lux tour.
After the Oct. 10 episode, SNL will take two weeks off before returning on Halloween with Navarrette making her hosting debut.
The actress is the breakout star of the horror thriller Obsession, and is also set to appear in the upcoming X-Men film and The Waffle House Index.
Gracie Abrams, who made her SNL debut in Season 50, will return for her second appearance as musical guest. She is set to launch her Look at My Life tour in December in support of her third studio album, Daughter from Hell.
The show has yet to officially announce its Season 52 cast.
Earlier this summer, seven-year cast member Chloe Fineman announced she won’t be returning this fall. Any other cast departures have yet to be revealed; the show held in-studio screen tests for potential new featured players two weeks ago.
