Strike Force Five to Release First New Podcast Episode Since 2023

Strike Force Five soon will strike podcasting platforms for a lucky 13th time.

As the former podcast’s eponymous late-night quintet—comprised of Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, and John Oliver—reunited Monday evening on CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Kimmel and Colbert announced that after that taping, they would stick around to record an “emergency” episode of Strike Force Five.

The podcast’s 13th episode, its first since October 2023, will release this Wednesday, May 13.

The special video episode was recorded in honor of the upcoming, May 21 series finale of Colbert’s The Late Show, which was cancelled by CBS last July. Whereas the original Strike Force Five project was conceived to pay a small portion of their out-of-work writing staff’s wages during the summer 2023 WGA strike, proceeds from Episode 13 will benefit Chef José Andrés’s World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit that provides meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises around the world.

WCK is also the beneficiary of Colbert’s season-long, “Everything Must Go!” Late Show prop auction, which across multiple lots of items trickled out over five months has raised more than $1 million to date.

The new episode of Strike Force Five, sponsored by founding sponsor Mint Mobile, will be available on Spotify, on the “Strike Force Five” YouTube channel, and anywhere podcasts are found.

The Strike Force Five hosts reunite on The Late Show tonight at 11:35 p.m. ET; watch the “emergency podcast episode” announcement below.
