Jon Stewart, Michael Kosta to Share Daily Show Duties This Week

Comedy Central’s “Best F**king News Team” is back to work today, with the first in a full week of new Daily Show episodes.

Franchise front man Jon Stewart kicks things off as Monday-night host, sitting down with Annalena Baerbock, president of the United Nations General Assembly.

Senior correspondent Michael Kosta will then man the desk Tuesday through Thursday.

Kosta’s guest on Tuesday is Noah Wyle, the Emmy-, Golden Globe- and Actor Award-winning star of HBO Max’s The Pitt, which recently released its Season 2 finale, and on which he also serves as a writer, director, and executive producer. Maybe they’ll have a chuckle over The Daily Show‘s “RFK Hospital” spoof of The Pitt from back in November…? And how Wyle himself starred in a similar bit for Jimmy Kimmel Live?

On Wednesday, Kosta welcomes tennis legend, author and entrepreneur Maria Sharapova, who’s out promoting her Pretty Tough with Maria Sharapova podcast.

And then on Thursday, Kosta will sit down with onetime Gotham PD detective Ben McKenzie, who in recent years has become quite the cryptocurrency expert/critic. His debut documentary, Everyone Is Lying to You for Money, recently made its debut at a few film festivals and in select theaters ahead of what is hoped to be a larger, national roll-out.

The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m, ET/PT on Comedy Central, and is available to stream next day on Paramount+
