The billionaire isn’t denying that he made Chloe Fineman cry during his SNL hosting stint, posting on X/Twitter “Frankly, it was only on the Thursday before the Saturday that ANY of the sketches generated laughs. I was worried.”

An enterprising redditor posted a video comparison of both versions of sketch—the one that aired live Saturday night, and the longer dress rehearsal version that was posted to YouTube and Peacock.

“Dana Carvey just sounds like Dana Carvey,” wrote the real Musk of the SNL alum’s portrayal of him in this week’s cold open.
