While Kenan Thompson and Marcello Hernández stump for T-Mobile, one their fellow SNL castmates has her sights on a different brand endorsement… if they’re willing to play by her rules.
Sarah Sherman courted Carl’s Jr. on X in the leadup to the Super Bowl, offering herself up to star in one of the fast food chain’s racy ads.
After years of centering its advertising around scantily dressed models—including, famously, Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton—Carl’s Jr. changed course from that creative direction in 2017. This year, however, the bikinis are back. Days before The Super Bowl, the brand revealed it would air a more sexualized commercial during the big game featuring influencer Alix Earle. The news of that new branding shift prompted Sherman to throw her hat into the ring.
“Yo @CarlsJr let me do it – pubes out style,” Sherman wrote on X, quote-posting a New York Post article about the Carl’s Jr. ad.
After a few hours with no response from the fast food chain, the Saturday Night Live performer again took to X to follow up.
“Your silence is deafening…,” she wrote, “and quite frankly… disgusting !”
Carl’s Jr. still hasn’t responded to Sherman’s tweets. But despite Carl’s Jr.’s silence, it seems Sarah Sherman’s hopes for a brand partnership aren’t completely dashed.
“We’ll let you do it,” grooming company Manscaped chimed in.
