Jimmy Fallon’s New Holiday Single, ‘Ugly Sweater,’ Gets Music Video — Watch

Jimmy Fallon is back in holiday mode.

The Tonight Show host partnered with rising country artist Carter Faith for a new festive single, “Ugly Sweater,” which arrived Thanksgiving Day.

Fallon had announced the collaboration on social media Monday, teasing an anthem for anyone who’s ever overcommitted to a holiday party outfit. “Ever gone to a holiday party and you’re the only one in an over-the-top holiday sweater?” Fallon wrote. “Then you can relate.”

The release continues Fallon’s annual push into holiday music. Last year he dropped the full-length album Holiday Seasoning, a collection of new and previously released songs, including “It Was a… (Masked Christmas)” with Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion, “Almost Too Early for Christmas” with Dolly Parton, and “Wrap Me Up” with Meghan Trainor. The artwork for “Ugly Sweater” sticks to that visual identity, featuring a minimalist cartoon Fallon alongside his duet partner.

Fallon has notched chart success with past releases: “Wrap Me Up” hit No. 2 on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary and Holiday Digital Sales charts in 2023, while his Jonas Brothers collaboration “Holiday” reached No. 1 on Adult Contemporary in 2024.

Last year’s rollout for Holiday Seasoning included an NBC primetime special as well as a SiriusXM channel, which returned this year for another run through late December.

Fallon’s holiday-music lane dates back to when he and fellow SNL castmate Horatio Sanz penned the original song “I Wish It Was Christmas Today” during their early 2000s tenure on the show.

“Ugly Sweater” is Fallon’s first collaboration with Faith, who released her debut album Cherry Valley last month via MCA Nashville, a Universal Music Group imprint. Fallon releases his music through Republic Records, also under the UMG umbrella.
